We are practicing photographers who turned to printmaking out of necessity—because for the longest time, we simply couldn’t find anyone who could do justice to our prints. That frustration led us down the long, winding road of mastering the digital printing process ourselves. What began as a personal challenge has grown into a full-fledged fine art print and digitization studio, shaped by the same care and rigor we once sought from others.

At Rangjyot, we specialize in fine art inkjet printing (or Giclée, if you prefer the elegant terminology) on archival and museum-grade papers. While our roots are firmly in photographic printing, over time we’ve worked closely with painters, sculptors, illustrators, and designers to reproduce their work with precision and integrity.

We’re also among the very few studios in India that manage the entire digitization process under one roof. From scanning film negatives, transparencies, and even glass plates, to digital file preparation and high-fidelity printing—we handle every step in-house. This allows us to maintain full control over quality while offering clients a seamless, technically sound workflow.

Knowledge-sharing is central to what we do. Rangjyot is not just a production space, but also a training and learning ground. We regularly guide artists and students through the intricacies of digital workflow—covering photography, data management, post-processing, and preparing files for print. We believe that for the medium to thrive, skills must circulate freely.

We also maintain a reference library—an open-book space where anyone can come and access our collection of photography and art books. These books are often expensive and inaccessible for emerging artists, and we’ve made ours available for on-site reading during working hours. (We’re sorry, though—we don’t lend them out!)

Lastly, we operate on a cost-plus model. That means we exist to produce best-in-class work without making it unaffordable. We’re not a charity or a non-profit, but we do take pride in being accessible, transparent, and very good at what we do. And yes, we’re not shy to say that out loud.

Welcome to Rangjyot—where images are honored, and stories are made to last.

Why us?

We take pride in being one of the few establishments in India where the entire workflow is built around colour accuracy and uncompromising quality. Over time, we’ve learned that a truly well-made print is not the result of a single step, but of many thoughtful, incremental decisions made throughout the digital workflow. We’re deeply invested in every one of those steps—because for us, excellence lives in the details.

How do we work?

We genuinely enjoy engaging in conversation with artists and photographers—it’s through these dialogues that we begin to understand how best to support them in reproducing their work. Printmaking, we believe, is a collaborative process. The more an artist is involved, the more refined and faithful the outcome. Thoughtful input helps us not only deliver the best results, but also develop an intuitive sense of each artist’s sensibilities and intent. At the heart of our practice is a simple principle: we aim to build relationships, not just provide a service.

Who we work with/for?

We work with photographers, artists, graphic designers, and visual practitioners who care deeply about how their work is reproduced—and who are looking for the highest quality prints possible. If you value precision, fidelity, and craftsmanship, we’re likely a good fit.

We do not compromise on quality. From the technology we use to the inks, papers, and processes we rely on—every element is chosen with care to ensure exceptional results

Why our turnaround time is longer?

We take our time—because we care deeply about the details. Every file we receive is carefully reviewed before it goes to print. Our pursuit of precision and quality means we don’t rush the process, and we don’t settle for “good enough.”

Inkjet printing is an investment, and we believe it deserves nothing short of excellence. If we notice something off in your files, we’ll reach out. It’s part of our commitment to ensure that what you see on paper truly reflects your intent.

What about equipment? what do we use?

We work with state-of-the-art tools and processes—no compromises. Our workflow is designed to match global standards, and that’s what allows us to consistently deliver best-in-class results. While equipment and technology evolve over time, we believe it’s the discipline behind the workflow that truly matters.

Our entire process—from digitization to final inkjet print—is Adobe RGB compliant. We use only genuine inks and archival-grade papers to ensure accuracy, longevity, and fidelity. Transparency is part of our ethos, and we’re always happy to share details about our methods and materials with our clients.
